In addition, these ecological corridors also help to conserve and improve the habitats of migratory species as well. One of the main objectives of establishing blue-green land-waterscapes is to reconcile increasing local/regional development and human livelihood challenges in a sustainable manner while at the same time safeguarding biodiversity and their habitats/ecosystems as far as possible.
