The society actively seeks members of all ages to come and join us in our cause to protect the wildlife of Sri Lanka.

We have two categories of membership, Ordinary membership is available for adults over the age of 18 years and Junior membership for those below 18 years of age.
Prospective members should apply on APPLICATION FORMS that may be obtained from the Society's Head Office on any working day (till 12.30 pm on Saturday). They are also available during the Monthly Members' Meetings on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 6.00 pm at the BMICH. You can also download the form from below links.
The application should be proposed and seconded by members of the Society of at least one year's standing. If you do not know any members, come and meet the office bearers at the Head Office or at a meeting.

Ordinary Members with 5 years of continuous paid membership may become Life Members for a fee of Rs 30,000/=. They are exempt from annual subscriptions thereafter.
Note on Junior membership:
Junior members are not entitled to vote at any meeting, hold office or make bungalow reservations.
They are entitled to receive the Society's Sinhala language publication Warana or to purchase the English language publication Loris at a concessionary rate.
Upon reaching the age of 18, they cease to be members of the Society but are eligible to apply for Ordinary Membership.
Volunteers & Internships:
The society is always looking for volunteers from its membership to help us in many of our ongoing projects and daily activities. If you have any skills or time you like to help us with please feel free to email us on [email protected] with details on how you can help us.
We currently offer short term internships to students to work at our head office to help with various tasks. If you like to get some experience working for an NGO in the conservation area, do drop us an email with your CV and interests.
