With Sri Lanka coming out of the worst ever year for its big cats, with over 13 reported deliberate killings, it’s important to look at unique stories of harmony between man and the leopard and adapt possible best practices.
The Wildlife and Nature Protection Society Sri Lanka (WNPS) hosted the first virtual edition of their “Marine Chats” series, chatting with underwater explorer and technical diver Dharshana Jayawardena.
Light-weight Aluminium cages were donated by the Wildlife & Nature Protection Society to the Department of Wildlife on Wednesday 23 December, to be used for wildlife rescue operations.

Featuring some of Sri Lanka’s prominent sportsmen as well as celebrities, WNPS hopes to spark an all-important dialogue amongst the country’s citizens; a dialogue which will hopefully lead to change.
